In order to respond to a wide range of situations, from headwaters to rivers, where 50mm class balsa sinking minnows are expected to be used, we have adopted a highly portable 4-piece length of 4.11ft, which is highly versatile.
The most compatible line settings are #0.4-#0.6 PE line with a shock leader and 3-5lb class nylon line. Adopting a blank that is sharp and firm, but bends supplely when a load is applied, even with a compact casting motion, it is possible to make a presentation by targeting balsaminnow, which has a low specific gravity and is difficult to fly.
